This record is in excellent condition. It has spindle marks visible on both the labels but there are no pen marks, scuffs or any other damage such as stains or fading. The centres are not loose or worn and show only very light wear. Overall the white 'grooved' labels are clean, bright and in great condition but with the spindle marks on each side as mentioned.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are very clean with nothing remotely serious showing, have a vivid lustre and are in remarkable condition given the lps age. There is very little showing in normal light with just a few faint lines and one light scuff on side 2. These are all very minor and only visible when angled into light. They do show with a few more thin light wispy lines under bright light but there is not a lot evident and nothing deep or serious. So overall this vintage record is used but is in very nice condition, has a beautiful lustre and shows only light signs of use to its playing surfaces.
I play tested the record and it played well throughout with no skips, sticks or clicks. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is no movement in the record arm. The sound produced has is very enjoyable throughout with no serious issues or major levels of interference. There is some occasional spluttering or light noises but this(in my opinion) is due to the very early recordings in which the audio has come from. There is no nasty marks to cause the interference and anything that is present is most likely due to this. Overall it plays really well however and although the audio is not that of a 'remaster CD' it was still a great listen with a lovely authentic blues sound.
The sleeve is in very good+ condition. It has some wear and rubbing to the edges and corners but a lot of the writing along the spine is still legible. There is some wear near the top of the spine, which has affected the catalogue number. There are no splits or weak areas anywhere and the sleeve as a whole is still very strong. There is no tears, scuffs or pen marks and no serious creasing or major ring marks. There is however some general age related grubbiness showing on both sides. This is not extreme for its age but as you can imagine the white areas are not as bright as they should be, with some grubbiness and discolouring present. Please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible on its condition.
It includes its original plain white inner which is in very good+ condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but has some creasing, ring marks and age related discolouring. I will therefore send the record in a brand new plain white replacement.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
