A SUPERB ORIGINAL AND RARE DIFFERENT RECORD LABEL REGGAE ALBUM RELEASE FROM, MABRAK.

  Mabrak was the group founded by drummer Leroy Trevor Mabrak. Leroy Mabrak was originally also a member of the group Count Ossie & the Mystic Revelation of  Rastafari whith which he had visited the US in 1972. The group Mabrak was originally named Genesis. In 1974 the drumming section of Mabrak won two of four medals awarded for drumming in the Jamaica National Drum Music Finals. In 1975 they recorded a 45 rpm - at King Tubby's studio - entitled »Drum Talk« - the single being one of the very first, if not the first, records to feature the talking drum as a lead instrument. The song was chosen to be the theme song for the Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth Conference held at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston in 1975. In 1976 the group recorded an album - at Harry J's Studio - also titled Drum Talk that was heavily focused on the talking drum and other polyrhytmic instruments. The album – this album is a very rare release.

The vinyl LP is in superb Excellent Plus condition, the labels show a few signs of play and just a couple of ink marks on side .The LP’s surfaces are extremely clean and free from scratches and scuffs and just a couple of hairlines.

  The LP plays without faults, a great sound quality through all tracks with just very, very light background static noise, mostly at the start of each track, otherwise a fantastic sound quality.

  The side 1 matrix GET-A101 A 1C , and Side 2 matrix GET-A101 B 1C.
 

  The fully laminated Picture sleeve is in superb Excellent condition, a really nice, clean and undamaged sleeve with just mild LP storage signs to the front and back panels and a couple of laminate pinches, both edges and spine are free from splits and with just mild corner bumps.

  This is a superb example of this rare UK album release from, Mabrak.
