This guy is one of the best kept secrets of the last 40 years...A Nashville session man (guitars and keyboards),he founded Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry..He is a fine singer,a great songwrite and a wondeful guitarist with an unusual wah-wah slide guitar style..
This is his first album..It's really hard to find and it is in GREAT condition..
Issued on EMI in 1973..EMA 760..UK pressing in a non laminated gatefold sleeve..
The disc:...It looks EX ++..There are a couple of light hairlines on the B side,but there are nonasty scratches or scuffs and it still has ageat sheen as well...
The A side plays great..NO clicks or pops and a clean sound..The B side is a bit disappointing as a couple of the tracks have a few light pops..Overall,the sound quality is clean and undistorted..
The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps or dishing..
The labels:..Crisp,clean and undamaged with bright colours and untarnished text....There is minimal spindle wear....
The sleeve:...Unless a sleeve has been stored in a protective plastic,upright and away from light,untouched by human hand since the day of purchase,it's almost impossible to grade it as mint..Even careful handling is going to leave some signs of wear..
This sleeve is Ex minus as it has a little edge rubbing and a little light dischape,nothing serious or highly visible...
The colours are bright and unfaded..The spine is square and undamaged with clearly legible text...It has no rips,tears,seam splits,stains,scribble,stickers,sellotape,fingerprints,creases,corner bends or other such defects..
You are welcome to collect this in person or from The Southend Record Fair (13th July) and then the second Sunday in each month)..Where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...
Venue for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB...Record collections always wanted!.
