Mad River (Capitol T 2985) 

 

Here’s a lovely first UK pressing of this monstrous, tortured psych LP, as issued in the UK in late 1968. The album was not issued in the US in mono, and has never been reissued in mono, making this the only way to hear the mono mix. There are ten or so UK copies of the album on popsike.com, all of which are stereo, which gives some idea of how scarce this mono pressing is.

   

SLEEVE

The delicate front-laminated flipback single sleeve is in lovely EX condition, with the correct mono catalogue number.  

 

VINYL

A beautiful, glossy EX to NM. This has been barely played.
