MADDOX BROTHERS & ROSE. Decca Jingle Bells/Silent Night.Now, here’s a rare Christmas gem. From 1952, I present the only Christmas single from the most colourful hillbilly band in the land – The Maddox Brothers & Rose! You get a nice peppy rendition of Jingle Bells on the A side with a fine heart felt reading of Silent Night on the flip. Both will be highlights of your Christmas compilation CD this year.
Part of a fine batch of Christmas 45s and 78s I currently have listed on eBay.
This 45 visually grades a nice shiny VG++ with a couple of harmless surface marks. The danged thing plays just great. Nice labels too. Good luck adding this scarce little country Christmas 45 to your collection.
