MADE IN SHEFFIELD – Amelia Jane ORIG Fontana ACETATE (UK, Mono, 1967)
Here’s another acetate from the UK Fontana vaults – not in as good shape as the O’Hara’s Playboys once I have listed but still plays decent and is a great period piece.
The labels are the white Fontana variation – apart from the artist and title written there’s a small patch of staining and some faint pencil marks. Side 2 is blank wax with no label at all.
The record shows several small surface scuffs, nothing deep or feelable. About half the disc’s surface is covered with a milky ‘fogging’ – a surface only cosmetic thing, I’ve seen a similar thing on other acetates. So visual G (Good) only.
IT HAS BEEN LISTENED TO ONCE. Some surface noise throughout but not intruding over the music itself. I say this with trained ears! Still an enjoyable listen.
Medium to heavy weight disc. A rare item!
