Madonna has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognised as the best-selling female recording artist of all time. She is often cited in the press as the ‘Queen of Pop’ and has the most certified singles by a female artist with 24 Gold, Platinum, or Multi-Platinum singles. From ‘Like A Virgin’ in 1984 to ‘Secret’ in 1994, Madonna had an all-time record 34 consecutive Top 10 hits on the UK singles chart.
Released in 1995 ‘Something To Remember’ was a compilation album, featuring previously released Madonna singles that had never been featured on her own albums, including ‘I'll Remember’, ‘Crazy For You’ and ‘This Used to Be My Playground’. ‘Something to Remember’ reached the top 20 in 19 countries worldwide and went on to become 4 X Platinum in Australia alone.
