"Secondhand Daylight" ist das zweite Studioalbum der britischen Post-Punker von MAGAZINE, das ursprünglich 1979 erscheint.
Eine Single, ,Rhythm Of Cruelty", wurde ausgekoppelt. Das neue Line-Up von MAGAZINE war bis Mitte der achtziger Jahre stabil und bestand aus Howard Devoto (Gesang), John MxGeoch (Gitarre und Saxophon), Barry Adamson (Bass), Dave Formula (Keyboards) und dem frisch rekrutierten Schlagzeuger John Doyle.
Der erste Release mit Doyle war die Single ,Give Me Everything" aus dem November 1978 gewesen.
Das Album wurde produziert von Colin Thurston. Der Auftrag war der erste Produktionsjob für Colin; vorher hatte er als Toningenieur für DAVID BOWIEs ,Heroes" und für IGGY POPs ,The Idiot" gearbeitet; später sollte er für TALK TALK ,The Party"s Over" produzieren.
