A very rare LP as a proper first press, the later issued vinyl with the smaller swirl is far easier to find.

Seasons is one of the six Magna Carta albums that was certified Gold. 

 The band’s sophomore effort was an enormous artistic leap from their debut album; the result of a 3 A.M. inspirational coup and clocking at over 22 minutes, “Seasons” is a real conceptual piece, with a seamless succession of themes that come and go, a Prologue and an Epitaph that lyrically concludes and musically reprises the opening theme; No efforts were spared to make Simpson’s dream materialize and both Gus Dudgeon and Tony Visconti contributed in the production, arrangements and playing; additional musical help was provided by session bass and double-bass player Spike Heatley, drummers Barry Morgan and Tony Carr, guitarists Tim Renwick and future full-time member and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Davey Johnstone, blossoming keyboards wizard Rick Wakeman (who unfortunately has pretty discreet appearances) and the London Symphony Orchestra.

VINYL : EX. The vinyl has two wispy hairlines on side B which certainly do not sound at all, side A hasn't got any hairline and both sides retain their deep glossy sheen. Light paper retraction traces under a strong light but any vinyl, even new will have this as soon as it is taken out of its inner sleeve. The whole record plays through nicely with stunning audio on my Project Debut deck with Ortofon cartridge with just a few low level pops on the odd occasion. A great above average vinyl which has been looked after. NO jumps or sticks, played through in its entirety, a very enjoyable experience.

Gatefold Sleeve: EX.  Stunning gatefold sleeve without any creases or damage and well preserved by a caring owner for decades. A small written dedication on the inside gate top right, very discrete and not intrusive. The colours are still rich. Light storage wear on the edges. The spine is still fully legible. "VO PRICE CODE" to the reverse.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable. This is a rather heavy vinyl pressing.
