Info: Rare original UK pressing LP with Vertigo 'Swirl' labels, and in lovely clean condition!
Was recorded live in Amsterdam on 4th November 1971.
Comes in original gatefold picture sleeve and is complete with poly-lined paper company 'Swirl' inner sleeve.
This is a collectable first pressing with matrix numbers 1Y//1 1 1 3 and 2Y//1 1 1 1
Magna Carta was originally formed in London on 10 May 1969, by Chris Simpson (guitar, vocals), Lyell Tranter (guitar, vocals) and Glen Stuart (vocals). The band is renowned for their gentle ballad style and mythical subject matter. Although never purely a folk band, they managed to successfully bridge the gap between folk and folk rock. The trio released albums for Fontana Records Fontana and Vertigo Records, enjoying particular success with 1970's 'Seasons' before Tranter returned to Australia. Davey Johnstone joined the line-up as his replacement, recording 'Songs From Wasties Orchard' and 'In Concert' with the band before leaving to work with Elton John, with whom he is still playing.

Vinyl in near mint condition - hasn't been played much and looks superbly clean and shiny! Plays through beautifully with virtually no deterioration in sound quality, and no clicks, crackles or distortion. A super copy!
Labels are clean with only small amount of spindle marks on each side.
Sleeve in excellent++ condition and in great shape. Front and rear surfaces are nicely flat and clean, with just the remnants of a small price sticker on the front, which will most probably clean off with care. Spines are tidy and in shape with just a very small amount of light scuff wear. Corners have light/mild scuffing. Opening edges are tidy with just small areas of light wear. Inside looks great! No writing anywhere. Very nice indeed!
Inner sleeve in near mint condition and looks fantastic with no edge splits. There is a bit of extremely faint discolouring along the bottom and one of the side spines, but this is hardly noticeable.
