Bruno Walter (born Bruno Schlesinger, September 15, 1876 - February 17, 1962) was a German-born conductor, pianist and composer. Born in Berlin, he left Germany in 1933 to escape the Third Reich, settling finally in the United States in 1939. He worked closely with Gustav Mahler, whose music he helped to establish in the repertory, held major positions with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Salzburg Festival, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Staatsoper Unter den Linden and Deutsche Oper Berlin, among others, made recordings of historical and artistic significance, and is widely considered to be one of the great conductors of the 20th century.
This is the rare original HiFi Stereo pressing on Philips (SABL 189/190) with the plum and silver labels. The vinyl is in excellent condition and plays with only the very odd light click here and there but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great! It is a bit let down by the cover though, which has some staining, mainly on the back! See photos and description below.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)

Vinyl side 1: excellent (has one or two very small marks that cause the very odd click/pop, but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has a noticeable scrape mark that causes the very odd click/pop, but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Vinyl side 3: excellent (has one or two very small light surface marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays excellent with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Vinyl side 4: excellent (has one or two small marks that cause the very odd click/pop, but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Covers (front laminated, flip-back): good / very good (light, corner, edge and spine wear, a few light creases mainly arount the edges, discolouring, staining/aging/marks on the back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
