Here is the ORIGINAL hypnotic Afro-funk rarity from the master of Ethiopian groove himself, Mahmoud Ahmed! 9 tracks, released on his own label in 1978, shortly before the end of the vinyl era in Ethiopia. This is NOT the recent reissue on Mississippi Records, but a 100% ORIGINAL PRESSING from 1978...doesn't come up too often. Check the soundclips!

Condition: When I bought this from a guy in Addis, he said it was unplayed. If this is true, then "unplayed" must have a different meaning in Africa, because there are visible scratches on the record, particularly along the outer rim on either side. The sound improves considerably after that, however, and is mostly quite clean overall (check the soundclips; the first is from the first track on the record, where the marks are greatest; the other two are from further inside the record). I would grade it VG to VG-, depending on the passage. There is NO COVER (as it was sold to me), which is usually the case with original Ethio records. It will be sent in a plain paper sleeve backed with cardboard, for extra protection.
