Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1971 Philips Germany first press - major-rare and wanted, the performance within is a constant of skilled virtuoso moves all over the place....
A true classic from Germany's early '70s kraut scene! Eiliff's eponymous album, direct from 1971 on the Philips label, combines the progressives of UK bands à la King Crimson, Soft Machine and Van Der Graaf Generator with the atmospheres of early Frank Zappa complex instrumentation's & German groups s.a. Guru Guru and Alcatraz.
Krautrockin's tripped out jams mixed with heavy-jazzy plays. EILIFF compositions are often sung but always feature extended, eccentric, groovy & jazzy underground progressive rock variations. Vintage keyboards, acid guitar and aggressive sax (close to "Van der Graaf Generator") made the major work here. "Byrd-Night Of The Seventh Day" starts with a brilliant, evocative "epic" introduction then it carries on an original prog rock song (in the genre of King Crimson during the red-era), including a nice jazzy vibe in the instrumental sections (fully dominated by technical psych keyboards). "Gammeloni" is a cool jazzy improvisation, alternating long floating, melodic lines and decadent, uncontrolled sax solos. A lot of fun here and gorgeous acid effects. The end contains venomous guitar solos, much more fascinating than the first track which sounds like an imitation of famous, classic English bands. "Uzzek of Rigel IV" typically sounds like a Van der Graaf composition, a bombastic, dark, powerful song. After five minutes, the guitar section tends to deliver some nice Zappa-esque musical specificities. "Suite" is a killer instrumental session, mixing ultra aggressive sax parts, majestic keyboards and amazing guitars. The middle of the song contains a nice break for relaxing raga buzzing sitar (before returning into a chaotic, frantic jazzy rock madness). Some very good moments and absolutely recommended for Van der Graaf Generator fans.

CONDITION: The cover: rated: near M- laminated gatefold has no issues other than slight past handling and becomes a solid collection keeper with no upgrade needed. No less than 45 years of age retains a fresh appearance -- there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... VERY collection worthy rarity here ...
