MAKAHA SONS OF NI'IHAU Keala '78 Poki Records RARE NM Israel IZ Kamakawiwoole

Poki Records catalog number SP7 9027, the third release (I believe) from a legendary Hawaiian music group, the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, Keala, issued in 1978. As well-known as they were to Hawaiian natives and fans of the island's music one member was to become far more well-known many years later: Israel--better known as Iz--Kamakawiwoole. He did contribute a tune to this LP and it is hilarious: an ode to the joys of sparking up a roach from the night before and digging the beauty of Hawaii. The group has made many, many recordings but I don't know how many were with Iz and his brother (father? uncle?) Skippy. This one was, though and it's very rare. Cover EX, maybe NM, as new. Vinyl also NM, straight, glossy, barely a pop or click, really fantastic. Cleaned on the VPI machine. Bid with confidence. Thanks, have fun and good luck.
