Description
MAL RYDER …..”Slow Down / See The Funny Little Clown” (VOCALION POP V 9219) Released UK 1964. The British beat boom era, has proved more diverse, and just as interesting as the groups which made the charts. Here we have Mal with his group Spirits, pumping out a great version of Larry Williams classic rocker. This is the rarest of his four singles, all of which met with no success. After fulfilling their exhausting contract in Germany, the group split up, and Mal went back to work on a building site. A year later he was asked to front another disillusioned group called the “Primatives” who were also lacking in success, despite having produced a couple of raw and awesome freakbeat sounds. Alas, real stardom was never to come their way. Although they did gain a multitude of fans on their European tours. CONDITION: Vinyl is a shiny NEAR MINT with no scuffs or scratches.
