RARE RECORD COLLECTOR GUIDE applied: (M, NM, EX, VG, G)
None of the vintage vinyl records are what I would call truly perfect with absolute no occasional soft background static/ticks. But vinyl sounds warm, deep, analog-rich and as good and dynamic as the producer and band intended. Depending on the grade, my records may have few to some more occasional slight background static/ticks but never deep feelable scratches or groove wear, except specifically mentioned. All the listed records come from my own decades-old, archived vinyl collection. Thank you for looking.

The sound engineer Rudy Van Gelder had an immense influence in jazz. He engineered a huge number of influential sessions. Without Van Gelder we might not have nearly as vast a collection of the 1950s jazz greats. He was one of the first engineers in the United States to use the state-of-the-art microphones made by the German company Neumann (because, he said, a Neumann “could capture sounds that other microphones couldn’t”). Van Gelder used a mix of types and placements of microphones to bring the music of the jazz musicians as close as possible to listener creating a sensation of dimension and depth.
VINYL: all Tracks grade optically VG+ to EX- with some superficial hairlines and scuffs, except the Track 3 on Side 2 which grade VG- due to a little slight feelable scratch (please see the Photos!) resulting in some revolving ticks. The thick record sounds great, very dynamic on my High-End System with some occasional bakground static/ticks. The COVER Grade ist G and has wear (ring wear, stains, corner issues, top edge complete split)
Die Labels haben wenige Spuren. Unter hellem Licht sind haarfeine Kratzer und oberflächliche Scuffs sichtbar. Das High-End Audio-Test zeigte eine hohe, sehr dynamische MONO Klangqualität mit gelegentlichen Hintergrund-Statik und Ticks sowie paar repetitive Ticks auf Track 3 Seite 2 (siehe bitte die Fotos). Das non-laminierte COVER Grade G und hat Gebrauchsspuren (Spuren der Aufbewahrung, Ecken leicht angestoßen, Ring Wear, Flecken, die obere Kante hat voll Riss). (siehe bitte die Fotos).
