Condizioni : copertina presenta un forellino praticato dalla stessa casa discografica per le copie fuori catalogo. E' visibile nel lato frontale appena sopra le lettere NS di DICKENS e prosegue sull'etichetta (vedi scansione N° 3) e nel retro (scansione N° 2). Poi soltanto una leggera usura sull'angolo destro inferiore; grande stato, EX+ / vinile con pochi minimi segnetti del tutto irrilevanti  per il perfetto ascolto, grande stato, NEAR MINT

Condition : cover has a small hole punch visible on the front side just above the letters NS of DICKENS and continuing on the label (see scan # 3) and the back (scan # 2). Furthermore only a slight wear in the lower right corner, EX+ / vinyl has a few minor scuffs which do not affect play at all, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : confesso di essere rimasto stupito durante l'ascolto di questo disco.

Da lungo tempo prediligo i ritmi Latini, il Jazz e la psichedelia, ma ho percepito belle sensazioni interiori dalle melodie sinfoniche mirabilmente composte e dirette da Malcolm Arnold. I suoi temi possono essere lieti, malinconici o drammatici ma sempre e comunque la musica conserva una straordinaria eleganza mostrando una naturale leggerezza anche nelle fasi di massima intensità sonora. Un piccolo capolavoro, immeritatamente poco conosciuto.

Notes : I have to confess all my amazement listening to this album. From long time I prefer the Latin rhythms, jazz and psychedelia but I have perceived beautiful inner sensations from the symphonic melodies admirably composed and conducted by Malcolm Arnold. His themes can be blithe, sad or dramatic but anyway music keeps an extraordinary refinement showing a natural lightness even during utmost sound intensity. A small masterpiece, undeservedly little known.
