Description

Malcolm X The Last Message.  Historically significant audio recording of his last public address,  Double album (2 LP records) in gatefold sleeve with new inner paper sleeves.  The cover is quite tattered and has some stains,  but otherwise acceptable.  Double sided sleeve for holding the two LPs,  one side has split open completely,  the other side has split open half-way.  See photos for details of the cover.  The vinyl records,  however,  are in excellent condition.  I played both records all the way through and they are in surprisingly good shape compared to the cover!  Surface noise is fairly minimal,  and there are no skips  (throughout all 4 sides!).  My guess is that while the cover saw some action,  the records were hardly played.  It really is a very good mono recording of his speech,  and ambient noise is very minimal outside of the occasional applause from the audience.  The sound system he spoke through was very clear and the engineer did an excellent job of capturing this sound on the recording.  When I received the album it had no inner sleeves,  the records were just stored in the cardboard cover.  I put each record inside brand new paper inner sleeves,  for their protection,  and I placed the album inside a protective plastic slip cover. This is really a very awesome piece of historical significance!.
