Description
MAMA LION 'Preserve Wildlife' 1972 Gatefold LP VG+ All Bars Intact!
Lynn Carey grew up in Beverly Hills, did some acting and formed her first rock band, C.K. Strong in 1969. After working one several soundtracks of Russ Meyer films (including 'Beyond The Valley of The Dolls') she met Neil Merryweather, began recording with him and in 1972 she became known as Mama Lion. She has a bluesy, Joplinesque voice and songs that include pop, soul and rock.
It is nearly impossible to find the cover in decent condition and this one is exceptional, with the three 'cage' bars fully intact. There is minor shelf wear and very small corner dings and overall pretty great condition. VG+ and it is hard not to mention the interior photo of a baby lion being breastfed (!?!) by Ms. Carey herself!
The vinyl is VG+ as well with one mark on the opening track and otherwise quite clean. Generic inner sleeve. A nice addition to your collection!
I have been a collector for many years and I try to describe the condition of items to the best of my ability. Please review the photographs as they capture the condition well.
I ship LP's in a sturdy LP or 45 rpm mailer with the record removed from the cover. I will ship within a day or two after payment (PayPal) has been received.
I'm happy to answer questions if you have any.
Please note: No International shipping. Domestic shipping only. No exceptions.
