Description
Arhoolie F-1001, “Mance Lipscomb, Texas Sharecropper”, from 1960. The heavy jacket has the Berkeley address, but the vinyl looks like a later pressing. It plays at VG++ with practically no background sound. The jacket is in the original shrink wrap and shows no corner wear, ringwear, bends, writing, or stamps; there is about 1 cm of wear on the upper right seam at the opening. A “Special Order” label is on the shrink wrap. See scan for track listing. This was Mance Lipscomb’s introduction to the blues revival world. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
