MANDY MORTON – Sea Of Storms *ORIG Polydor LP* 2382 101 (GERMANY, Stereo, 1980)
Happy to present this rare LP, Mandy’s major label debut, superbly produced and executed. Both sleeve and particularly the vinyl are in a great condition here.
The glossy, non-laminated, single format sleeve is in a very pleasing EX (Excellent) condition. Very light rubbing to the top and bottom edges, a small patch of spine rub (slightly obscures the text), one or two ‘spine-out’ creases, a couple of very faint storage scrapes to the front panel and super fine ring impression are about the only signs of age away from a near to mint appraisal. Nicely defined corners, no splits, tears or bends and no writing. The cover lies perfectly flat without ripples and bar a small amount of buffing (hardly a problem), the opening edges are fresh and sharp. A well above average example of this early 80s non-laminate.
The original picture/lyric inner is supplied and is in an absolutely tremendous condition. NO splits! Hardly any creasing too. Structurally looks the part and has no nasty blemishes, writing or dirt/residue. EX+ (Excellent Plus) condition!
The red Polydor labels are virtually as new. I can’t make out any spindle traces and there is no writing, stickers or other damage of any sort. Lovely, fresh labels.
The light to medium weight vinyl is a fabulous copy which OFFERS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB, UNHINDERED AUDIO. Visually (and under extreme light) you may notice a faint patch of scuffing to one side and a super thin hairline to the other. Other than these, no marks are present and the surfaces shine proudly. Most would see this as a genuine near mint grade but I’ll say a true and undisputed EX+ (Excellent Plus), hoping to surprise and delight. It has been carefully listened to and plays 100% without impediment. So that means NO snap, crackle or pops, NO ticks, clicks, or scrapes and NO hiss, distortion or loss of clarity. Fantastic definition throughout means the play grade at least matches the visual one. In fact I’d say it plays close to mint.
Truly fabulous copy of this original Ms. Morton LP. Supplied with extra inner to avoid splits to the original picture one in transit.
