This is a true collectors’ item and with ORIGINAL INSERT.
On Banshee Records (ban1011) 1978 and only 1000 were ever pressed, so a rare and sought after item and in unusually good condition for this particular item.
The sleeve is in very good condition – no visible wear to the back side of sleeve and only a small mark at the bottom of the front side. The spine is good and quite readable.
Record still in original dustjacket and in immaculate condition. No wear to speak of and no visible marks or scratches. The record was bought by mayself new and only played a couple of times as I transferred the tracks to tape and played the tapes instead. Original hand engraved numbers SRS-28-A are on side A and SRS-28-B on side B
The intro to the first track is at quite a low volume, but all the other tracks play very well. A sample track can be played from this link:

MAGIC LADY
One for the magic lady.
And one for me
Songs of the land.
And a song of the sea.
Though the silver halls stand empty,
And decaying in the dust.
As they silently remen\ber.
The lady that they lost.
MUSIC PRINCE
It wouldn't matter if the rain fell today,
I'm sure I wouldn't mind at all.
And let the thunder clouds roll out across the sky
chorus.,
And I knew that you'd play your song for me. And the words are the same as they used to be. And the dreams haven't changed or the people inside, Just the years that have turned the endless tide
I really don't know what to say to you.
So well rehearsed but where to start.
And a thouaand words but none that come to mind.
chorus..........
And I knew etc.....
A fairy tale that has no end.
The magic prince that came to call.
And the lady smiles and gives to him her hand.
chorus..........
And I knew etc.....
ACCORDING TO MATTHEW
With the eyee of aodneea, and of madneae. Staring at the floor.
Matthew conjures up the pictures that ha'a Conjured up before. 'Cause Matthew'e not there anymore.
Dressed all in white a shining knight. From battle he returns. With a rose for the lady in his heart, A special prize she earns. According to Matthew.
And he'll tell you of the wars he fought. So gallantly today.
Of the dead men that ha left behind him, Aa he rode away. According to Matthew.
And we'll never spoil the gams that Matthew plays. Inside his mind.
For it'a long ago that Matthew left reality behind. 'Cause Matthew's not there anymore. Here comes the candle. To light you to bid. The battlea are over. The enemy are dead.
LITTLE IN BETWEEN
This lady walka in a silent dream.
Where no one else has been.
And we all know and love her well,
She's our little in between.
Neither this world for the last ahe claims.
But a spectre life it seems.
Has placed her in a timelees age,
She'a our little in between.
And though ahe's strayed beyond the grave.
Such beauty 's never been seen.
And as ahe donoee we'll all eay.
She's our little in between.
And the day will come when she must rest.
Beside a silver atream.
And we'll all miss and love her still.
She's our little in between.
GOODBYE THE DAY
Goodbye the day that said the words,
That none should ever hear.
And brought a shadow to the land.
That dealt this blow of fear. chorus..,..
And the war lord stands, With on am in hie hand. Goodbye the day.
Goodbye the ships that left the land. And sank beneath the sea. And laid the sailore in the deep. Where Death has. paid their fee.
chorua.....
And the war lord etc.. Goodbye the fields of emptiness, Where all our sons were slain. And only ghostly battle criea, Riae up and live again.
chorus.....
And the war lord etc,.
Goodbye the grave that told the tale.
Of one who stayed behind.
To build a generation.
Of peace to all our kind.
chorus.....
And the war lord etc..
SILENCE DO THE REST
I must admit I can't sit back,
And listen anymore,
To how things really ought to be.
Excuses by the score.
And I won't look back on the things we've done
And say it's all far the best.
I'll shut the book and close the door.
And let silence do the rest.
And you never looked much further
Than your eyes would care to tee
Included in your vision
I euppoes that there was mi.
But how could I stand out amonget
So many of the best,
I'll shut the book and close the door.
And let silence do the rest.
And if our paths should cross again,
I'll emile and walk away
For we could take forever.
But there's nothing more to nay.
And when you go I'll aek of you.
To grant one more request
Juat shut the book and close the door.
And let silence do the rest.
So life will be an endless atream.
Of thinge that could have been.
And memories coma flooding back.
And help to paint the scene.
And when I wake and find you gone,
I'll hope it's all for the best.
I'll shut the book and close the door.
And let silenee do the rest.
V'll shut the book and I'll close the door
Let silence do the reet.
THE LADY
Don't talk to the lady.
The lady has no heart.
Oh don't talk to the lady.
Of she'll tear your life apart.
Oh the lady.
This lady when she rises.
Demands the beat of you.
And ahe never compromises.
Upon her point of view.
Oh the lady.
The lady ahe thinks in a mysterious way
Sometimea ahe'a not really there.
Oh don't talk to the lady. The time juat ien't right. Oh don't talk to the lady. She's better out of sight. Oh the lady.
This lady tries to hide. Behind a froaen screen. Juat disappears inside, A manufactured dream. Oh the lady.
WHITE SHIP
To turn coxry from all We )o\ow,
Would somehow be complete.
If we could fly upon the. wind.
With clouds all at our feet.
And the white ship sails in the morning light.
And I think I'll go with her.
I've seen myself inside a dream.
With lands that all verm new.
And though I searched I never found,
A faoe that looked like you.
And the white ehip sails in the morning light„
And I think I'll go with her.
We've played the games and said the words.
That people often do.
And though we meant them at the tine,
Well time has changed ue too.
And the white ship tails in the morning light,
And I think I'll go with her.
And as the sails fly in the wind.
And steer towards the sun.
My tears will build an ooean.
For me to ride upon.
I won't forget you.
Whatever I do.
And the white ship sails in the morning light.
And I think I'll go with her.
WITCHFINDER
they're going to hang a witch"
Shall we build the eaaffold high.
To atretch their neoka until they die?
Shall we build the fire up to Bend them straight to hell?
Oh it doeen't matter how they go, '
Aa long aa we can make a show.
Down through the mist comae the rider.
The death bell tolls a warning to hie prey,
Be'll see ue all in hell, the uiUshfinaer,
By torturing our life and soule auay.
And what kind of man is this, the witchfinder.
Who calls himself a holy man of the cloth?
Sia wretched form a conetant reminder,
Of all the night black hage that he's turned off.
Be'll seek out all our covens and destroy them.
And cruelly send our sisters to their deaths.
And rid our lands of powers that defy him.
Until our dark lord has no ssroants left.
And when he sees the marks of hie deetruction,
Be'll think that he rests easy in hie bed.
But we'll come in the night to inetruct him,
In the rulea of the land of the living dead.
GYPSY GLASS
The winter left a bitter time,
And showed no mercy there.
Confusion fell in vaterfalle.
And sang out loud and clear.
And I knew I'd trod thie path before.
Though the scenery had changed.
Another judgment fell to dust.
And another season claimed.
And when I looked into her glass, I saw no future there. Processions of a childhood past, But never very clear. And the gypsy's eyes lit up a amile, And I guessed that things had changsd, I'll be home in juat a little while, And I've so much to arrange.
No longer will I fight the cause.
That wasted so much time.
I'll ride upon a freedom.
That I never thought was mine.
And the gypsy glass that told the tale.
And opened wide the door.
Guided by a mystic hand.
That smiled and said no more.
GHOST OF A SONG
It will always be the Bams,
As when I write my nam.
Bow can I etpect to change what I do.
For you...for you.
And if I'm wrong you'll say I've changed*
What I do.
And I'll try hard to rearrange what I do.
If it 'a for you.
And my words they'll always rhyme.
And if I had the time,
I'd write a symphony or Wo,
For you,,,for you.
My life is one long funny song
It's true.
And if it helps us all along what I do.
It's for you.
Don't bring me down with words, That don't mean anything at all, I must be sure of what I do. If it'a for you...for you.
And when I've given all I am. As I am.
I'll say it's tint to Bay goodbye. To you. ..for you.
MAGIC LADY (reprise)
Here's to the magic lady.
Who sang her songs for me.
And left them to the land.
And sailed across the eea.
Though the ailver halls stand empty.
And the lady'a flown away.
So goodbye magic lady.
And goodbye to the day.
