Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 1960s by Manfred Mann Chapter Three called "Manfred Mann Chapter Three".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1969 on the Vertigo label (VO 3) and has 11 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- 847902 1Y // 3 420 14 (side one) and 847902 2Y // 3 420 11 (side two).
Whilst the B-side label has the large version of the swirl AND "A Philips Record Product" text, the printing is slightly smaller than the first pressing, so this is identified as a SECOND pressing issue.
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks evident, but nothing serious. I have played the whole of both sides and apart from the odd light crackle and click (mainly noticeable between tracks), they play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or major defects. There are faint spindle marks on the centre of the labels, noticeable when tilted towards the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The vinyl is housed within its original poly-lined SWIRL inner sleeve in a GOOD condition considering its age.
The gatefold picture cover is in a VERY GOOD condition overall. The edges and spine are still quite strong and the printing on the spine is still readable (see photo), though there is some shelf wear on parts of the spine, edges and in the corners. The inside of the gatefold is clean and undamaged.
This is a highly collectable Progressive Rock LP and should be of interest to avid collectors.
