Rare 1968 South African first press 12-track LP of the Manfred Mann’s What A Mann (TL 652) pressed on silver-on-black Fontana label. This is a pretty scarce press due to the unique album sleeve, as this cover was used for the Marcus Garvey album officially however the same artwork for this LP does not state ‘’Marcus Garvey’’, it is printed ‘’What A Mann’’. The tracks' sequence is also somewhat different from the original ''What A Mann'' LP.

The sleeve is in excellent condition and is one of the better sleeves you’ll get for this LP. Few small laminate creases on the front as normal for SA covers. Ring and other wear is kept very minimally, with no pen names, marks, tears etc. This is a really solid cover that has been looked after pretty well.  Overall rating for the cover = EX.

The vinyl is close to an EX grade, so Vg++ will do just fine on this one. There’s a vivid lustre on the LP with extremely few, light hair-lines under strong light. The centre labels are immaculate with no defect. Overall, the vinyl is Vg++.

A great addition for 60’s collectors worldwide and a rare find in very respectable condition indeed.
