MANNFOLK with Gill Mclean RARE...1976 Edinburgh fringe item very rare ? even private pessing of 1 off item.. CAT NO - CS 7252
An obscure offering from North of the border. I've only seen one record on the 'Folk On The Fringe 1976 my one..The label name must be FOLK ON THE FRINGE '76 this is a 4 track EP by a band called Mannfolk wth Jill Mclean. FOLK ON THE FRINGE 76' the name of the E.P.. The EP came out in 1976 it had a catalogue number of CS-7252, and is clearly a private pressing and I would go as far as to say not many these exist at all a rare one off Scots music 7" single...
Tracks 1.'Bobby',yes the dog and it was presumably intended for sale at or shortly after the '76 Edinburgh Festival. The Mannfolk made another appearance at the Fringe in 1977, but googling fails to indicate that they made any more records. 2.Dream Angus. 3.Ma burds a teucher. 4.Fair a bhata..
CONDITION..
SURFACE VG - Plays with a light crackle on both sides odd light hiss but music can still be heard clear..A good shine remains are some light hairline marks but the single plays start to finish all the way LABEL EX - Just light bubble as seen in photo but that was on iy the day my brother purchased it new (see photos thankd) Plain sleeve brown

Done more research on this item seems ultra small amount of these Edinburgh Fringe 1976 items have been private pressing a real 1 off items and it seems not many exist..
Even contacted the local Edinburgh museum and they could not price it but did express a massive interest in this particular case the item would suit the new music section due to it link to the Fringe/Edinburgh/and also Bobby the dog song real wee Scots gem..If I find out any more shall update it but unlikely to find another one at all... so good luck happy bidding..price rating
