The LP is signed in the top lefthand corner of the rear sleeve (see photo below), above the printing 'Gold Shield', which is one of the few light sections of the back cover's artwork. The autograph is a straight 'Marc bolan' signature with no message or kiss, and shows Marc's typical style of a small 'b' and reversed 'n' in 'Bolan'. It appears to be written in black Biro and measures approximately 55mm by 25mm.

This autographed record comes with the following letter of authenticity from the original owner (see photo below), a then teenage girl called Lorraine:

"This signed copy of Marc Bolan's album Zip-Gun was won as a prize on the Noel Edmunds Swap shop programme in 1976.

I can confirm that to the best of my knowledge the signature is authentic - Marc signed the album on the show as I was watching on the television, I rang in to the show and the album was posted to me."

I am selling this record in good faith - I am as certain as I can be that the signature is genuine. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  CONDITION: EXCELLENT The vinyl is clean and bright with some light surface marks and scuffing from the card inner sleeve. The sound reproduction is clear throughout with some occasional light pops and clicks. The semi laminated inner sleeve is clean and unmarked with some typical light creasing. The diamond die-cut laminated outer sleeve is also clean with some slight creases and scratches but no folds, tears, stains, seam splits or writing (other than the autograph).

I am always happy to receive any wants-lists, but file them carefully on little bits of paper under slightly larger bits of paper that aren't always quite where they should be because the elves have clearly moving things around whilst I wasn't looking. I will guarantee to find what you want within minutes of you a) finding it elsewhere, b) deciding you can live without that Tibetan Skater Punk LP after all, or c) losing the will to live.

Despite that, all my vinyl is strictly graded using the Record Collector RRPG system, and all goods are properly protected and posted in strong, new Covers 33 packaging. Please recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just offset the damage done when the item was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of tyres.
