* 1st pressing (hand-etched run-off matrix #: fd-703-35)
Marc Hamilton began his career as a founding memeber of Quebec 60's garage bands Les Shadols, Les Monstres as well as Les Caides before going solo late in 1969. With former bandmates Serge Blouin (bass), Michel Bergeron (organ, piano), Michel Bourgon (drums) and Normand Bouchard, Montreal native Marc Hamilton (vocals, guitar, sitar) released this killer solo LP in early 70. (* In France, this LP was released with a slightly different track list as "Comme J'ai Toujours Envie d'Aimer" on the Carrere label)
(The following year he was featured on one of Quebec's most coveted sountrack LPs, the fuzz-psych gem "Apres-Ski")
Long out-of-print (never re-issued on CD), the LP is an absolute monster......no losers or weak tracks here!.
Awesome French-Canadian psychedelic freakbeat, fuzzed-out rockers, absolutely wicked drum breaks and some some killer guitar riffs courtesy of Martin Zizek.
Several standouts, including the superb eastern sitar-psych nugget "Tapis Magique" (Magic Carpet) and "Laissez-Moi Dormir" that's rips with it's garage-fuzz riffs and raw agressive vibes. This is also the LP that features "Comme J'ai Toujours Envie D'aimer" ......a superb hippie love ballad that's been covered over the years by everyone from Paul Muriat to Marty Butler.
