To inaugurate the Dubas - Rocinante/Três Selos partnership, and to kick off the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Dubas label, we are delighted to bring to the analog world the album Jet-Samba, by Marcos Valle. This is the first vinyl edition of this classic, which will be 20 years old in 2025. Elected best instrumental album at the 2006 Brazilian Music Awards, chosen as one of the 10 best releases of 2005 by the Second Section of the newspaper O Globo, and nominated in 2006 for a Latin Grammy in the Best Engineered Album category, Jet-Samba returns remastered from the original tapes by the legendary Carlos Freitas, with DMM cutting by Rocinante, an original interview with Marcos Valle, and new text by Ronaldo Bastos. Jet-Samba brings Marcos Valle back to Brazil after a series of albums produced abroad. This instrumental album has a modern feel, but without the use of electronic programming, and marks the debut of the band that would define the artist's sound to this day. With the brilliant sound engineering of Duda Mello, artistic direction by Ronaldo Bastos and Leo Pereda, and a repertoire that mixes new classics and gems from the artist's past, masterfully rearranged by one of the most prolific and innovative composers and musicians that Brazilian music has ever produced, Jet-Samba is Marcos Valle in his purest form. This Rocinante/Três Selos/Dubas edition is on 180g black vinyl, with a simple cover and includes a printed sleeve with exclusive text by Ronaldo Bastos.
