MARCUS “Marcus” 1970 Kinetic Z-30207, RARE!!, Like New Vintage Vinyl Album
The only sign of use is that the outer shrink wrap has been opened.
Marcus Uzilevsky is the real name of the recording artist Rusty Evans.
While still in his teens Rusty Evans performed his hit song Midnight Special on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. In the years to follow, he recorded more than 13 singles while touring with his band the Rock-a-Billys. 1962 he became involved in the folk music scene in New York City, often singing with the not-yet-famous Bob Dylan (Robert Zimmerman).
In 1970 he recorded a solo album under the name “Marcus” (this album!!) for the Kinetic record label, a label formed by the Kinetic Playground Ballroom in Chicago. This is an album of original material, and it was distributed by CBS Records.
Rustys style of music starting with country & rockabilly, and it evolved into folk & folk rock. By the late 1960s, Rusty was producing many of San Francisco’s rock bands. In the 1970s, Rusty turned his creative energy, after his Marcus album, to the visual arts. He is world renowned in the fine arts arena too.
This album was reissued as a collectible in 1994, however this auction is for the original 50+ year old vintage vinyl in like-new condition. 🎼💕
