Wow, what you are bidding on is a 33 rpm vintage record by MARIANNE FAITHFULL: NORTH COUNTRY MAID. This is on the original first pressing on the ultra rare LONDON Records label from Japan. Near impossible to find 1966 pressing. Any questions, email before bidding.
History of this item: In most cases we sell loads of records and I have no idea the history of the item, but this one I do and it's cool. This belonged to a gentleman who was in the Navy in Vietnam, stationed on a helicopter ship (and now a well know artist with paintings in well know galleries). Every few months he got r & r and was able to go to Japan to rest, well instead of resting he went shopping for records. Ironically he has the same taste in music as I did. I thought it was kind of strange that he was in Vietnam yet could haul around records, but he was on a ship and you can do that, I did. He took care of the records all these years and I convinced him to part with a few of his gems. I've been selling records for over 40 years and have never had this.
This is not mint, but very well taken care of. I gave it an VG+ (which I think it is), but grading is very subjective. Altogether, it's very very nice and mega rare.
