ARTIST: Marilia Medalha TITLE: same (Philips 765.025) COVER: Near Mint. Tiny spot on back where sticker looks to have been removed. No pen marks or writing. VINYL: Near Mint.  Clean labels. Original MONO first edition released here in Brazil in 1968.

 

Fine Bossa vocal LP from the criminally underrated Marilia Medalha. (Her first!) Fantastic arrangements by Oscar Castro Neves. Cool psych-ish surf guitar on “pau-de –arara” and a sweet cover of Caetano’s “coracao vagabundo”. “A lua girou has some cool slow breaks with a great spooky organ, bass and guitar groove. Includes songs by Gil, Veloso. Vinicius de Moraes and Carlos Lyra and more.
