Description

This Auction is for a very rare 12" single sided Acetate featuring the Track 'Memory Of Water' which was produced by Marillion and remixed by The Positive Light (Marc Mitchell) for the Album 'Tales From The Engine Room' which was released in 1998. The Album featured remixes of the Tracks from Marillion's  Album 'This Strange Engine'.
Only a few of these Acetates were made and self pressed by the Band and Marc Mitchell at Whitfield Mastering Studios to promote the Album and the Tracks. They were then sent to top DJ's such as Paul Oakenfold who actually wore out his copy through playing it in his sets !.
What is interesting is that the timing for the Track on the Acetate is 9:40m, while the timing on the Track on the actual Album release us 9:36m. This could be different to the Album release or simply edited. I am not sure but it is worth pointing out.
I have only ever known 1 or 2 other copies ever come up for sale and I would not think there are many more copies out there due to being an Acetate.
This is a superb and very rare chance to own this huge rarity !
