This record is a high-fidelity vinyl LP released by ESP-Disk in 1966 by the Marion Brown Quartet. The record, with a catalog number of ESP-1022, features jazz music in stereo and comes in a cardboard sleeve. The vinyl is black in color and is in very good plus (VG+) condition, making it a valuable collector's item for fans of 1960s jazz music.

Recorded November 1965 in New York City.
On later reissues the track "Exhibition" was replaced by "Mephistopheles" (comp. Alan Shorter) recorded at the same session with Alan Shorter but without Bennie Maupin. The covers of most of these reissues use the original track listing with "Exhibition" and include Bennie Maupin in the personnel, which caused some confusion among discographers.
