MARK THOMPSON LP Open Windows Empty Rooms LP (Never Summer Production MT-82002) USA 1982
Very rare & unknown private LP with some of the best moody loner folk psych tracks I've heard in a long while Titletrack, esp 2nd version, 'Landslide', 'Climber' are all stellar. Much of the record has a sparse sound w/ his strong vocals and acoustic guitar upfront, but three tracks rock a bit more w/ fuzzy guitar and drums, somewhat in the guitar psych-y rock/neo-psych bag of the time. Similiar to same era LPs by Chris Yates and Bobb Trimble/ Band Features: MARTY PULLMAN - MARK VANDERBROOK - CARL FINK - BROOK BLAIR/ Record, Cover, and Lyric Sheet are in Flawless (Perfect) Condition - What I grade NM Condition/ The Record looks like it has never been played

GRADING SCALE FOR VINYL: NM=No Visible Flaws To Vinyl/ VG+++= Almost NM But May Have A Few Very Light Scratches Or Paper Scuffs/ VG++= Still Great Shape, A Few Light Scattered Marks Or Scuffs/ VG+= Slightly Mishandled With Some Scattered Scuffs Or Light Scratches, Still A Nice Listenable Disc / VG= Mishandled, Lots Of Light Scratches Or Scuffs Or Maybe A Few Larger Ones, If I Listened To It And It Plays Much Nicer I Will Add To The Description/ VG-= Very Mishandled, May Play Nice Though / G= Trashed, Might Play Decent, But Heavily Scratched.
