Description
This is a possibly unique copy of a Marlene Dietrich single. Found this in a thrift store in Edinburgh years ago and I cannot find out a single thing about it. I think it is an acetate, it was made by Emidisc. It seems to be a recording from Dietrich’s 1964 performance at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, part of the Edinburgh Festival. The A side features ‘Lili Marlene’ and ‘Lola’, the B side has ‘Boys in the Backroom’ and ‘Go Away from my Window’. The sleeve and labels have been handmade; the labels have come unstuck from the disc but are otherwise intact. The sleeve has a review of the performance on the back and a rather beautiful sketch of Dietrich in biro on the front. There is absolutely nothing on the internet about this one…
