Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of a 1969 LP by Canadian-born rocker Mars Bonfire. Possessor of one of the greatest stage names in the history of rock and roll, Bonfire was a member of the Canadian group Sparrow, from whose ashes Steppenwolf was formed. He is remembered as the composer of the epochal hit, "Born to Be Wild," his own version of which appears here. His former mates also did versions of "Ride with Me, Baby" (released as a single in 1971) and this LP's title track, which appeared on their 1968 LP, The Second. His versions of both songs are also included here. Bonfire's Columbia LP shares 9/11 tracks with his eponymous 1968 LP on the Uni label. The title track is one of two new songs here. The jacket has light ring wear, scuffing, and (on the back cover) staining; some splitting in the top seam; corner creasing and wear; and light spine wear -- EX(-). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-). The record comes with the original label inner sleeve.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
