YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE VERY RARE AND OUT OF PRINT 7" "A Plague..." by MARS VOLTA.
This version of the record is one sided on a dark blue vinyl. The blank side has a dark red silkscreen of the artwork on it. There is no paper sleeve or anything.
Research on this version came up on a lot of dead ends until I read on the Little Black Star website about this anonymous label in Long Beach who put out this single. There were 7 versions he knew of this record pressed. One was red vinyl with a screen printed side that came with no artwork, and it was limited, acording to him, to 30 copies! This one is on blue so either its one of a kind (made with the red vinyl run) or an even rarer version that he doesn't have listed. Either way, I have never seen this copy in a store EVER.
To be honest this whole record is mysterious and above my knowledge of the band. Perhaps you know what version this is more than I do... Im just spreading to you what I know from research.
The record was purchased at amoeba records so it has their traditional 7" packaging (7" sleeve taped over the top, going over the original plastic sleeve, so its in good condition!). I have not opened up the record out of the packaging to keep it as close to the way it was as possible. But upon inspection from outside the package I did not see any damage. Price sticker still on the amoeba tape.
