Marsha Hunt – Desdemona 7” (orig. Australia Polydor MONO NH-539120)

Australian Release date: December 1969 (UK Release date: 14 November 1969).  Recording dates: March 1969 (A-side) / August 1969 (B-side).

On offer here is a VERY RARE original Australian POLYDOR issue of “Desdemona” 7” single by American born MARSHA HUNT, who was living in London during the late 1960’s.  Both sides were written by MARSHA HUNT’s boyfriend at the time, MARC BOLAN, who had appeared on the original 1967 recording of “Desdemona” by JOHN’S CHILDREN.  MARC BOLAN had also previously released the flipside “Hippy Gumbo” as the A-side of his third solo single.

Please note the incorrect spellings on the labels, “Desdamona” (should be “Desdemona”), and “Mark Bolan” (should be “Marc Bolan”).
