CONDITION:
EX/EX
We always strictly grade our records using the Record Collector Standard (Side A graded first))
DISC: The disc is bright, clean and glossy.
To the naked eye and under normal daylight conditions there are no visible marks. However, when using a very bright LED light (180 Lumens) a number of very light insignificant marks are visible on both sides of the disc.
I have played both sides on my SONY system. At the start of Side One there is an audible 'tick' for several seconds when waiting for the track to start, but apart from that it plays perfectly.
COVER: The un-laminated 'MacNeil Press Ltd' cover has some visible storage wear to the edges and some visible ring-wear, however it is free of any tears/splits and writings.
There is a 'dink' to the bottom right corner that is visible in the photographs (that also shows some of the ring-wear).
I grade the cover as G+.
I will provide further photographs and information if required.
OTHER INFORMATION:
'MARSUPILAMI' were a Progressive rock band from Taunton, Somerset, England. They formed circa 1968 out of the ashes of school R&B band 'Levitation'. Self-quoted influences included: Coltrane, Miles Davis, Fairport Convention, Pharoah Sanders, Soft Machine, Yes and Zappa. All this and more blended into a unique brand of symphonic jazz prog. Marsupilami only made two albums and were especially popular in Germany, and featured German jazz winds player Mandi Riedelbauch on their second album. Their greatest claim to fame was being the opening act at the 1969 Isle Of Wight festival. The band split-up in summer 1971 with some members going on to CMU. In 2011 Fred Hasson formed a new version of the band with young musicians.
All photographs used in this listing were taken by myself and are of the actual item listed.
