Description

Offered for sale is a very rare 7" vinyl record by Martha & The Vandellas (later Martha Reeves & The Vandellas). The Hittin' E.P. was released in the UK in 1966 and contains 4 previous singles from the group - 'What Am I Going To Do Without Your Love', 'You've Been In Love Too Long', 'Nowhere To Run' and 'Quicksand'. This did not sell very well and copies are really quite hard to find nowadays. It comes complete with its original laminated picture sleeve.

The record is as issued with its original centre - which has the K T tax code stamped on Side 2. The record is in good condition considering its age. There are a few light scratches on both sides, and there is a bit of a 'scuff' on the first song on Side 1 (please see the pictures for a close up view). But it plays through fine on both sides with no skips or jumps. There is a small amount of surface noise between the songs but this really is minor. The labels are clean and clear, there are some spindle marks but no handwriting or tears anywhere.

It also comes complete with its original picture sleeve. This is showing some signs of wear - there are some light creases in the top left corner and there is a nick along the opening edge; again please see the pictures for close ups of these. There is also ringwear on both sides, but all in all the sleeve is in pretty good condition for its age, and it has done its job of protecting the record itself.

All in all, this is a good example of this very rare record from Martha & The Vandellas, that still has plenty of life left in it for a collector or fan.

Please feel free to ask any questions, and please take a look at my other items, including other vinyl - I'm very happy to combine postage for multiple purchases.
