Description
Available here is a Martha & The Vandellas 7" demo single - Heat Wave b/w A Love Like Yours. Issued in the UK by Stateside in 1963, it has the catalogue number SS 228 and "Demonstration Record - Not For Sale" printed on both sides.
Vinyl Condition - Good. The record is showing signs of age and there is a lot of surface wear - many small scratches, marks and scuffs. Having listened to both songs, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking but there is noticeable background crackle throughout both songs. The centre of the label also bears a release date stamp and a hand-written running time.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good. Not the original - black sleeve with plastic outer sleeve.

Synopsis - Classic early hit from Martha and The Vandellas and a breakthrough hit long before adopting the expanded name form of Martha Reeves and The Vandellas. The single claimed the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard R&B charts in 1963, whilst also riding high to No. 4 in regular pop charts.
