Description
Marty Paich - "I Get A Boot Out Of You - The Modern Touch of Marty Paich". With Art Pepper, Bill Perkins, Jack Sheldon, Conte Condoli, Victor Feldman, Russ Freeman, Mel Lewis, Bob Enevoldsen and more. Warner Bros. W1349. Original USA MONO pressing of this classic. Not a reissue or 2nd pressing of any kind.
Complete with original WB inner sleeve, which is NM; no splits! To preserve this inner sleeve and prevent slits to it I've removed the LP from it and placed it in an additional seperate sleeve (orig sleeve is included).
Cover is NM- (very light wear/signs of age to back cover only, a beauty! the only actual 'flaw' is two staple holes at upper left from original price sticker). The great cheesecake front cover image is pretty much perfect. Spine has almost no creasing and edges are square, not rounded. Not even a hint of splittting, pre-splitting or wear to any of the seams or spine. Corners are sharp and square. As I said, back cover has the only signs of age (light dirtiness, mostly at top center; I didn't try to clean this but I'm pretty sure it could be restored almost completely.
Labels (original grey labels with deep groove) are NM-. No writing, stamps, stickers, but some minor surface spindle marks.
Record: if you're a casual grader (non-obsessive) it's NM-. If you're hyper-critical it couldn't be less than a STRONG VG++. Full original gloss. Has nothing but a few very light hairlines. Will play "as new". I am a very tough grader. Near Mint is generally my highest grade and I don't even use that much. Things that look 'Near Mint' (meaning slightly less than perfect) to some folks can't be better than NM- to me. Please check my feedback.
Will ship VERY well packed (as always) in a secure box. With record OUT of cover, and plastic sleeve protecting both.
Note: picture showing the spine has an anomaly - it looks like a bent piece in the spine. It's not; I was holding it up with my hand and it moved during the scan.
