This LP is seldom seen on Ebay especially in this superb condition. This LP is really desirable and as close to mint without actually being mint as you will find these days. It is the first UK pressing of TML 11008 - The Marvellous Marvelettes with first press matrix numbers TML 11008 A1 and TML 11008 B1. The vinyl and cover rate EX++ = truly a superb copy.

The vinyl has all its original black oily lustre and has only the very slightest whispey sleeve withdrawal marks which are hardly detectable even under bright light. There are no visible marks in daylight. The visual grade is EX++ and the play quality is even better if anything - no discernible reduction in sound quality at all. The labels are clean and and unmarked with no wear round the spindle hole at all.

The front laminated, flipback cover is equally beautiful. It is flat and sharp with NO edge wear, NO ring wear and a totally straight 100% readable spine. The opening edges are still very sharp with no feathering. There are no thumb creases in the laminate and only 4 hardly noticeable laminate creases down the spine which do not go through the spine itself which is mint. The flipbacks are totally intact. The unlaminated rear has none of the grubbiness associated with this type of cover (SEE PHOTOS) and is clean and white with no thumb prints. The corners are still sharp with tiny areas of wear on the very tip but really nothing of any real consequence at all. The cover grades EX++.

Please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT (\'UNPLAYED\' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called \'near mint\' or \'mint\' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.

GRADING SYSTEM

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
