Originally issued in 1969, this great album has Marvin crooning to some of the best loved and best known standards and torch songs of the day. And, boy, does that voice ever sparkle!!! Under the brilliant production and supervision of the Norman Whitfield, and including the work of no less than four of Tamla’s in-house arrangers, Marvin’s voice never before - or again - sounded so lush, rich and luxurious. This was Marvin’s final studio album prior to "What’s going on" , his critically acclaimed 1971 masterpiece. In many ways, this was the last of the great 1960’s albums he recorded for Tamla/Motown and one of his best. The songs include: Gonna give her all the love I’ve got - Yesterday - Groovin’ - I wish it would rain - That’ sthe way love is - How can I forget - Abraham, Martin and John - Gonna keep on tryin’ till I win your love - Cloud Nine - Don’t you miss me a little bit baby? - So long;

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(c)             The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Stock (commercially released) mono copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
