The debut album from Marxist Love Disco Ensemble "seeks to eradicate both the trite from disco and the sobriety from political music." It is an eighth track opus that take sits cues from Eastern European and Mediterranean '70s disco records, all moulded into something new and fresh and spellbinding. The whole thing has a lovable and nostalgic lo-fi edge as it was recorded to 1/2 inch tape. Next to ragged and dusty machine drum sounds are all manner of saxophone, trumpet, harpsichord, guitar, and rare analogue synth sounds that bring the whole thing to life.
