RARE and superb album by this brilliantly creative writer, lyricist, singer, pianist, arranger.
This was her return to recording after a 10 year hiatus from the jazz scene. Spiritual with sublime satire.
A generous portion of the original proceeds of this record were donated to the Bel Canto foundation as per her request.
A must have for your collection.

An original pressing, 1964.
Cover is VG++, the vinyl is NM, perfect.
The cover is bright pink altho my cheap camera could not produce the color and it looks faded.
Great liner notes on the back explain the remarkable story of this record by MARY LOU WILLIAMS, a truly important female pioneer of jazz.

This lot is part of a large collection of records from the estate of a radio man who gathered and indexed many for airplay on broadcast jazz and blues shows over many years.
The condition of nearly all of these records is excellent.
They have been properly handled and stored, and played only on the finest of turntables.
Each record will however, still be carefully inspected and simply graded by me with any flaws noted, both covers and disc.
The more complex jazz collection, with many (multiple artist) albums. later rare collections on tiny labels, and later box sets are hard to sell, yet are amazing to read and hear. Amazing MUSIC. Super deep collection.
There are some here that show no presence on ebay, possibly too scarce to be well known or often found.
There are also a few very rare record mediums and homemade pressed recordings.
None of THIS collection has been rerecorded or digitalized by the previous owners or me.
I am trying to get them sorted and listed, favoring lots by artist for now.
I'm going slow on this, need motivation.
