Description
MARY WELLS Bye Bye Baby The First MOTOWN 600 Mint white label This is historical on several fronts. The first album by Mary Wells, the first one released by anyone on the MOTOWN label, and the only one to display this early white Motown label. It featured a few chart hits which far outsold the album. The 60's basically saw 45's (the hits) sell, and albums (with a lot of filler material) sit in the bins. Now 45 years later, those albums are among the most sought after items in our hobby. I've had this one for decades. It's not been played much. The cover and record are gorgeous. Beyond VG+, It's pretty damned close to being what I'd call Mint Minus. No ring wear. The seams are gorgeous. Fully legible text on the spine. The cover art is bright and vivid. Even the center spindle hole shows no sign of where I ever put it on a turntable. I'm offering it up to a good home. Will it be yours? I'm pulling records from my own library and listing some for sale. I have literally thousands of records, so keep watching. Along with some standard fare, I'll be listing obscure items, promos, test pressings, sealed items, autographed lps, .... and no telling what else. I've been avidly collecting since the mid 60's, so you can imagine what I've accumulated. The low starting bid in no way represents the value of what I am listing. As long as the items I list continue to bring respectable values, I'll continue to pull some of the more obscure items and offer them for sale. In all fairness to everyone, and to encourage early bidding, the opening price is intentionally set low and there is no reserve. I will not end auctions early. That is not fair to people who place bids. I WILL ACCEPT BIDS FROM ANY COUNTRY. Priority shipping is $5 in the USA, $10 to the UK, and $12 to Japan. If you win more than one item, I will combine shipping costs to save you money. Because I only list items that tend to be more collectible, to insure their safe arrival, I only ship priority mail.
