We're proud to offer one of our best selections of LPs ever this week! Hundreds of hard to find soul, funk, disco, modern soul, boogie, jazz funk, hip hop, blues & R&B titles in collectible condition are up for grabs! Please consider bidding on multiple LPs to save big on shipping.Label: See photo, original pressing
Record Grade: VG+ on disc one, strong VG for disc two, some minor storage marks but overall in well-kept condition. I cleaned these on my VPI with just some distilled water to remove dust.
Cover Grade: No cover. Discs were found in tattered sleeves which I replaced and will be housed in 12" jackets.
These seem to be different versions than what was released commercially (Mary Wilson's self-titled debut, catalog number M7-927 R1)! If you compare the song lengths, most of them are different (either shorter or longer). The first song, listed here as "Anytime At All," was renamed "Red Hot" on the album. I listened to the first minute of each and there are some differences, though it's the same basic song. I didn't want to play the rest of the discs too much due to the fragility of acetates but the different track lengths would suggest these are different takes or were edited differently at least. The first song, for example, is more than a minute longer on the acetate. I found these in a box at the flea market with several other acetates and test presses, all of which were arranged or produced by Arthur Wright, and are also up for auction this week! Shipping within the U.S. is $7 for the first LP and 50 cents per additional (media mail). International mail (handled by Asendia USA) is $23 for the first LP and $5 per additional (larger orders of more than 10 LPs will be quoted during invoicing and may cost a bit more or less depending on actual cost of postage and materials). Canada is $17 for 1 and $3 per additional.
Grading: I grade conservatively on a scale of NM, Excellent, VG+, VG, VG-, G. Get images that
