I had a copy of this last year and this is in fractionally better both disc and sleeve.
The club was initially set up in 1971 so this record will be circa 1975 if not a little earlier, despite the Rare Record Price Guide stating 60's.

This is possibly one of my favourite folk records I had the pleasure of owning. There are some phenomenal versions of some classic traditional folk pieces, including Blackwaterside and Whitby Lad, Recruiting Collier amongst others. Some of the A Capella songs and unaccompanied fiddle songs sound utterly bewitching. This is a true folk Gem and I am not surprised that it appears in the Rare Record Price Guide. This is excessively rare and I would be very surprised if the pressing run went higher than 100. Obviously I may be wrong with this but it very rarely appears on the market. Who knows when the next one will appear?

ALL RECORDS ARE VISUALLY GRADED ONLY UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
Record- EX+ The record visually grades very well, it has a nice deep gloss with only some occasional faint marks that are generally noticeable in strong light, some whispy inner sleeve marks. A very nice example with only some very light spindle marks and some very occasional factory pressing flaws, (tiny tiny circular marks bubbles/pits that can not be felt and are barely seen, that do not effect the audio and do not cause any interference with the play back both copies I have owned of this have/had the same marks). I have listened to large excerpts of this record to check the audio clarity and I am very please to report that it sounds beautiful sharp and clear, with some occasional background crackle/minor noise that is only noticeable in quieter sections. It is noticed even less in louder busier sections. This was an absolute joy to listen to, some of the A Capella numbers resound beautifully and sharp with only light background noise occasionally in places. I am certain that you will not be disappointed with this beauty.
I expect the very few copies of this that are in existence all suffer from some mild noise in places and the aforementioned factory flaw marks from pressing and I have found this is often the case with small private labels like this one, quality control was not always a concern when this type of record was pressed. I am pretty sure that a decent clean will make this sound even better than it already does.
Sleeve- EX White card sleeve is lightly worn with some mild toning in places and very minimal marks. There is a small number wriiten in pen top right corner this is the only real flaw I can find. There is some very light corner wear and edge wear, with some faint ring wear. No tears, rips or loss, this certainly presents rather well, wonderful and clean.
