A GOOD PLAYING COPY OF THIS RARE AND SEMINAL AUSTRALIAN LP. NICKELODEON FEATURES THE MASTERS APPRENTICES IN AMAZING “LIVE” FORM. RECORDED IN 1972 AND RECORDED “LOUD” THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.
IT’S DEFINITELY NOT MINT, HAS SURFACE NOISE, CRACKLES, TICS/POPS BUT THE MUSIC SOUNDS AMAZING. BASS AND GUITAR ARE WAY UP IN THE MIX AND DOUG FORD PROVIDES SEVERAL SEARING GUITAR PIECES. SNARE SOUND IS TIGHT AND SNAPPY AND THE OVERALL PRODUCTION IS OUTSTANDING FOR 1972, CAPTURING A FANTASTIC LIVE SOUND.

VINYL CONDITION: GOOD/GOOD+. SCUFFS AND MARKS ARE VISIBLE, AND AUDIBLE. VINYL PLAYS LOUD WITH NO JUMPS/SKIPS/DISTORTION, AUDIBLE SURFACE NOISE/WEAR AT EDGES, PARTICULARLY START OF SIDE 2, TK 1, LESSENING DURING PLAY. TRACK 2 ONWARDS PLAYS VG. EDGE WEAR CAUSES TICS/POPS AT BEGINNING SIDE 1, SURFACE NOISE LESSENS DURING PLAY. MARKS VISIBLE MIDWAY TK 2 SIDE 1 CAN BE HEARD DURING PLAY AS REPETITIVE TICS.
ONCE THE BAND KICKS IN ON THIS RECORD MOST SURFACE NOISE IS DROWNED WELL AND TRULY OUT AS THE BOTTOM END IS THUNDEROUS AND THE BAND ARE ON FIRE. A TRULY GREAT AUSSIE “LIVE” RECORDING. LABELS ARE CLEAN AND FREE OF ANY WRITING. LIGHT AGING AND SPINDLE MARKS ARE VISIBLE.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EXCELLENT MINUS. A CLEAN, BRIGHT FULLY INTACT SLEEVE. NO SPLITS, BENDS OR WRITING. FRONT IS BRIGHT AND GLOSSY WITH NO TEARS OR CHIPS. SPINE IS VERY GOOD WITH A FEW LIGHT CREASES. TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES ARE FREE OF ANY WEAR. REAR OF SLEEVE SHOWS LIGHT SHELF/RING WEAR AND FOXING. NO TEARS, MARKS OR WRITING.

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler CD?s and CASSETTES As a general rule CD?s and Cassettes either play perfectly ? in which case they are in Mint condition ? or they don?t, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD?s are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves.
